Founding Attorney
Joanna Kitto
Joanna "Jo" Kitto has been licensed to practice law since 1998, practicing first in Chicago at a 200 attorney law firm, and later at a large law firm in Denver (McKenna & Cuneo and Perkins Coie). Ms. Kitto practiced accounting prior to law school, which informs her practice today. After founding her own firm, Ms. Kitto focuses her practice on family law, probate, and estate planning/asset protection. She also offers mediation and arbitration services. Ms. Kitto understands her role as a counselor who objectively assesses risk with clients, but also is poised to act as an advocate when dealing with other parties and the litigation-mediation process.
Legal Assistant
Emily Perry
Emily Perry is expected to graduate in June of 2025, and attend law school in fall of 2025. She will graduate from the University of Denver double majoring in English and History with a minor in Political Science. Additionally, she is completing her undergraduate certification of public good regarding urban issues and policy in the Denver metro area. She received an Exemplar Academic Award for her research on literary censorship in September of 2024. Emily is also the President of her University’s Mock Trial team and has received multiple Outstanding Attorney Awards in various competitions.
Emily will attend law school that fall. Emily is a paralegal in training and has worked for Kitto Law since May of 2024. She assists in projects involving estate planning, family law, and probate while conducting research and court filings. Emily assists with document management, client intake, and litigation preparation. Prior to working for Kitto Law, Emily interned at the Colorado Supreme Court, curating an exhibition on Native American tribes currently displayed in the building’s law library. She also recently completed a Summer Honors program in Washington D.C. with American Enterprise Institute where she acted as a scholar in Freedom, Progress, and Tradition, networking in the area, discussing the current state of American politics, and reconciling our country’s past and present. She is now a member of this think tank’s Collegiate Network.
In her free time, Emily is an Advocate for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and works on-campus as an Ambassador for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She enjoys reading, doing yoga, and spending time with friends.
Legal Assistant
Nyomi Davis
Nyomi Davis graduated from the University of Denver with Cum Laude honors in June of 2024 with a BA in Public Policy and Socio-Legal Studies with a minor in Business Ethics and Legal Studies. Nyomi will attend the University of Colorado- Boulder law school in the fall of 2024. Nyomi was also the President of the Mock Trial team at DU and won a 20-rank outstanding attorney award in her last year at the Opening Championship round in Burbank, California.
She has been with Kitto Law since September of 2023 and is a paralegal in training. She works in estate planning, family law and probate, researching, and court filings. Nyomi assists with document management and productions in the litigation context. Prior to working for Ms. Kitto, Nyomi interned for a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C. where she honed her administrative skills.
In her free time, Nyomi is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Denver for kids in the foster care system and does other volunteer work around Denver.
